Willis B. Jordan Jr.—Licensed Home Inspector
Willis B. Jordan Jr. is the owner and inspector of Blue Cord Home and Light Commercial Inspections LLC. Willis sees it as his duty to educate clients on both the critical details and the finer points of a prospective investment. To accomplish this, Willis meticulously evaluates each property, identifying and communicating any issues that he encounters along the way. Whether you’re a first-time homebuyer, an investor, or a small business owner looking for the perfect place to set up shop, Willis is committed to helping you reach your goals.
Working With a Sense of Duty
Prior to his career as a home inspector, Willis spent more than 20 years serving in the U.S. Army. While enlisted, Willis served in three campaigns and took charge in various leadership positions, requiring him to maintain an industrious work ethic and an extraordinary attention to detail with every task that he performed. Before his time in the military, Willis worked on residential and commercial electrical systems, learning complex skills that remain valuable to the work he does today.
Specialized Equipment to Do the Job Right
When he performs an inspection, Willis understands that even a trained set of eyes sometimes needs assistance in order to meet and exceed the expectations of his clients. That’s why he utilizes specialized technology whenever necessary, including infrared thermography and aerial drone photography—at no extra charge.
- Thermal Imaging (infrared thermography)—an IR camera may be used to narrow down components of a home that are responsible for energy loss, moisture intrusion (a moisture meter is also used), or electrical issues. By analyzing the thermographic output of the component in question, it’s possible to identify exactly where and why an issue may be occurring
- Aerial Drone Photography—a remotely-operated aerial vehicle (equipped with a camera) may be used to inspect a roofing system that contains visible damage, slick building materials, or a pitch that’s too steep to be safely walked upon. The drone can also be used to take high-elevation photographs of the entire home
